Hockey 4 Youth launched its first two girls-only programs in Ottawa in February 2020. The program was delivered to 53 new Canadians from Ridgemont and Gloucester High Schools in grades 9-12.
In early 2023, Hockey 4 Youth launched its first program for girls who are neurodivergent and/or suffer from trauma at Ottawa Technical Secondary School.
In December 2023, we celebrated the launch of a fourth girls program in Ottawa at Woodroffe High School, a school with students from over 70 countries who speak 57 languages.
Our four Ottawa programs are made possible with support from the City of Ottawa, Ontario Trillium Foundation, Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP and fundraising from the Elgin Classic, an annual Ottawa hockey tournament organized by Derek Hooper & Geoff Marshall-Catlin.
