Our first program in British Columbia was launched in Surrey, BC in November 2023 for diverse girls in grades 9-12 from Princess Margaret and Tamanawis Secondary Schools.
This program was made possible with support from the Canucks for Kids Fund, Surrey School Board and Surrey RCMP.
“As a born and raised Vancouverite and British CoIumbian, this is a proud full circle moment for me," said Hockey 4 Youth founder & executive director, Moezine Hasham. "It’s an incredible honour to be collaborating with the Canucks for Kids Fund to launch the first of several programs for newcomer and diverse girls."
“Our mission is to foster social inclusion for newcomer and diverse teens, in this instance girls, and youth who face barriers because hockey is an incredibly exclusive sport and we know the joys that can come from playing this game.”
